I am a founding engineer at GridTran , a start-up where we work on the bleeding edge of next-generation high-power DC infrastructure for AI datacenters.

My interests span power electronics, power systems, electric machines and entrepreneurship. I care about understanding the larger problems that the power and energy community face as a field, and about developing the engineering solutions that solve them to drive the energy transition and empower communities.

    • Schematic capture and layout in Cadence Allegro and Altium Designer
    • High-voltage, high-current switching planes
    • Power stages built around SiC MOSFETs and Si IGBTs modules of various packages
    • Analog and sensing circuitry, and digital logic circuits schematic and layout
  • Magnetics
    • High-frequency magnetics design for transformers and inductors above 15 kHz
    • Ultra-low leakage transformers at medium voltage, design and test
    • High-current, low-inductance busbars and interconnects
    • Thermal modeling and heat-sink/liquid cooling design

    • Automated manufacturing file generation
    • Design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test verification
    • Vendor communication through sample prototyping and testing
    • Quoting and ordering PCBAs in volumes from the hundreds into the thousands

    • Switching performance validation, both hard-switching and soft-switching, Double Pulse Test (DPT)
    • Operating points from 48 Vdc to 2.0 kVdc and 120 Vac to 34.5 kVac
    • Power levels from 1 kW to 500 kW

    • High-voltage and high-current safety practice, including lockout/tagout
    • Arc flash mitigation
    • Safe handling of high-energy storage devices
